Is it possible to use vstplugins on a daw wireless

Hi,

I have a touchsreen laptop with win11 and want to use it as a vst synth source for my mpc one+. Is it possible to send midi data over bluetooth or wifi to the laptop and use this midi data to feed a vstplugin?
Or is it possible to make this via an usb cable?
I want to use vstplugins like a hardwaresynth in my mpc. So the controllermode is the wrong way i guess…?

You can create a MIDI track on the MPC and use either MIDI DIN out (MIDI out "MPC") with a cable or Wifi (MIDI out "Remote" with Akai MIDI Network driver) to send MIDI to the PC.

On the MPC side you must also create an audio track to receive the output of the VST. As you cannot send digital over from the PC the the MPC you have to use an audio interface on the PC side and get its output via the audio in jacks (or another USB audio interface) to the MPC.

Why wouldn't you use controller mode and the desktop software? With the desktop software you can use a vst for a plugin track. You can even browse your vsts from the mpc.

Hello, yes you can do this. I’ve been using a iPad as sound source like this via Bluetooth. Also you can use the midi Bluetooth in and control or sequence mpc instruments with all the weird and wonderful midi apps available for iOS
