I am writing a music app that teaches you how to read a note on a music staff. It is working just fine via USB and my MPC. I wanted to enable bluetooth in the app which I have so that you could connect Midi via bluetooth to the Mac and or Ipad. In testing I was not receiving any midi. So to rule out my app, I simply loaded up Audio Midi Setup as well as another app called Mdiview. Neither of these are seeing any Midi Data coming over the bluetooth channel. The MPC is connected to the Mac via Bluetooth. Audio Midi Setup does show the Akai MPC as a device. However playing a note from the MPC nothing is received on the Mac. Again if I connect everything up via a USB cable all is well. I do have the Connect Midi Ports automatcially when detected checked. I have enabled Midi output via the Sync section of the MPC. I have tried in Controller mode and stand alone mode. What am I missing? It has to be something simple... Apple's Audio Midi Setup should at least see the midi data.
Before I wrote this I thought maybe it was because the USB cable is still connected to the MPC...does it not send bluetooth if the USB channel is actice?
I have not tried unplugging it as it is late and I have been at this all day. Any advice is appreciated and I thank you all!
