The 16mb cards work great. Thanks so much tOri.

By the way, your new screen looks really cool. Do you have a link to that LCD? I'd like to get one for mine. Thanks again!

Hi buhl

I'm glad that you like it all :)

I bought this red on "black" LCD on Aliexpress (https://aliexpress.com/item/1005006672541020.html) It is nice but has one serious problem. The viewing angle isn't very wide, and when viewed from above, for example, you can barely see anything. It's best when viewed straight on. It's a shame, but you get used to it. In reality, the characters are very red. The photo changes this. The black-on-white display is very nice. Very clear and legible. It's important to note that fitting any other display to the S2000 is cumbersome and requires a lot of additional adjustments, both mechanically and electrically. For example, you'll need to swap wires 1 and 2 on the ribbon cable.

I found somebody (Patrick) who can assemble me some boards, i will test them in my Akai S3000 XL.
IF tORi agrees, i can sell my cards and give him a small donation ( i am not aiming to make money with it, just to cover costs )

Keep you updated

P.S. I received confirmation that the 8MB card (short) also works fine in the MPC2000/XL, so you can use it :)

Hi Tori

First of all, congratulations and thank you for all your hard work! :worthy:

I'm an electronics technician and I have an MPC200XL to which I'd like to add this 8MB flash memory.

I downloaded your files from your website (I want to say thank you again for sharing), I opened everything with KiCad to take a look, and I'm wondering if I need to redo the layout because of the reversed connector, or if, as you said in the quote above, it works the way you designed it?

I saw that a user offered to redo the layout, but we haven't heard back, if I'm not mistaken. So, before spending time checking everything, if you confirm that it works this way, I'll order everything directly; it's so much simpler! :-D

Thanks again for all your work!

P.S.: I'm French and I'm using Google Translate for the translation.

Thank you for words of appreciation.

You need specific to MPC angled AKAI adapter to connect FMX008 card to MPC2000XL. Card connector is OK. Card FMX008M differs from FMX008 only by lenght.
