Connect 2 Akai Force via midi?

I just used a TR-6S as master (you're using your drum machine as master clock & transport, yes?).

Using MIDI DIN, I can go TR > MPC > Force and sync both machines to the drum machine (clock and start/stop). It works the other way obviously (TR > Force > MPC)

With the TR connected to the Force via USB hub, it still works. I send MIDI DIN from the Force's Thru port to the MPC, and they both stop/start in sync with the drum machine.

Then, I set up a MIDI track on the Force and connect a second MIDI cable to the MPC (from the Out port), and I can play say a plugin track on the MPC from the Force. Works fine.

I'm not sure what's happening in your setup that's getting in the way, but what you're describing shouldn't be a problem. Again: good luck!
