Is it saved to your internal factory drive? If so you won't be able to transfer it, not if you can't first open it to re-save it. The only way to access the internal drive on an MPC One is to install the kikgen or hakai SSH enabled firmwares.

No, the MPC One internal drive is not accessible unless you modify the firmware first, there's no other tools to access it. Really, just download the kikgen firmware, install it with a USB stick like you would any firmware update and you have SSH access, you don't have to do anything special. Then use FTP software like CyberDuck to access using the mpc ip address (found via MENU > PREFERENCES > ETHERNET) with username 'root', no password. You can then browse the internal drive under the Media folder.

Don't need balena software, whatever that is. Just copy the img file to a USB stick like you'd copy any other file, put stick in your MPC, go to MENU > PREFERENCES > INFO > USB UPDATE and install. This is no different to the standard Akai USB install method.

MPC img files are not readable by windows and not intended to be opened on a computer. I suspect installing SSH firmwares is likely out of your comfort zone so perhaps it's best to stick with official firmware only?

I think anart believes you have to "put the image to disk" which is not the process, just a simple copy and paste on the root of a fat32 bit formatted SD card or usb card buddy. ;)

To his defense that *is* the method for installing images or booting images on embedded platforms. pi, amlogic stuff, mediatek, hell even windows xp has a usb image now.
