Reverse engineered plugins

Was wondering wether the standalone plugins could be reverse engineered so as to create user plugins, I know it wouldn’t work with the hard coded ones, but some are not hard coded.

You could try asking Akai to release the Qubiq SDK. I don’t really see much point in reverse-engineering it.

Yes, he could ask.

But do you really expect to open up the SDK? Inmusic/Akai has not partnered up with NI to let others sideload their plugins onto an MPC.

My guess is that they will eventually open something up to the gen pop, but only after they have completely milked it to death themselves. The NI releases (cloud supply etc) seem to be running off the same plugin template, no doubt this template can be utilised with any underlying sample library, i.e. create a bunch of keygroup instruments, throw them into the template and voila, instant instrument plugin with A/B parts and X-Y pad control etc.
