So from this point, how long would it likely take for it to be available for purchase?

When Live 3 showed up in the FCC database, it took more than six months before it actually came out. That was probably because the MPC 3.6 development took a long time. The Gen 2 MPC X might be released sooner, though.

Yeah it would probably make more sense to compare with the original X as back then the Live was already out.

Assuming it's the same case as the original X it will be interesting to see how they would find place for the 32 new buttons or whether those will be exclusive to the Live3.

Speaking of hardware features, I REALLY hope they base a new Key 61 on something other than an MPC One. Something with 16 qlink knobs and a tiltable screen... Wouldn't mind it having a TP/9S keybed either. One can dream...

I wonder if they will release ACVK as well as it have its own "Open ACVK Hardware Emulation Window" function implemented in gen2 firmware.
There are also ACVM2, ACVR2 and ACVA3 but they don't have emulations implemented yet :?

So it still has the rubbery sides? I really hope they use a different material. I’m happy with the l3 though going forward. The x was always just too big for me and what I need.

They should make this retro color and just keep the live black, I think the live 3 looks better black anyway and then you have the three colors differentiating the red is the lower end of mpc’s, black for the live and 61, and cream for the xl and maybe a bigger key workstation.. that would make sense to me, I don’t like having a million of these things, we don’t need that many tiny differences in versions.

No retro color. Why tf are people so enamored by retro color?
Black mpc 3000 le was the best of the black ones.
As long as there is NO supreme I guess it’s fine tho.
