The retro colorway is a MUST.

The flat MPCs look good black but if you look at the 60 with tha hood reminiscent of an old cash register…….. Analog heaven! :smoker:

I think I might have to put my 3k & 2k classics back in the box to have both X's out :-D

Confidentiality Released
05/24/2026

Can they release the device before that date.

As expected Akai dropping the X in may,

Based on the relase of the live 1 & the orginal X spacing, it was clear to see that the first 6 months of next year would be when the flagship would drop.

Then after that new MPC One will likely be in 2027 unless the rollout is expedited.
Not likely the new X will drop before the confidentiality expires, but obviously there is always images leaks a few weeks before.

Cant wait to see what this one looks like and what special features they add, it will defo be at least as expensive as the TR-1000 but likely more.

I hope they put real 64 pads like if the 4 Force pads but closer together to make 1 MPCe pad if that make sense. I just don't want to lose the Force 4 banks at once feature. I still think a Force make sense for gen2, but even so, the X would come first.

there may be alot of redesign work required for the mpc one, cos if they want to add the 16 step xox pads or touch strip, that would mean making the device bigger.

also the new 4 quadrant style pads, would likely require bigger pads than the current mpc one pads.

i actually think the mpc one will be the device that requires the most work to update into the next gen.

all the other devices such as key 37, key 61, force and X have a much bigger footprint and full size pads already present.
