Downgrade from MPC3 to MPC2 and keep projects?

Downgrade from MPC3 to MPC2 and keep projects?

Sadly I have come to the conclusion that the current MPC3 firmware is simply lacking too many of the Live possibilities present in the MPC2 firmware.
And I do not say this lightly since I have already invested quite a lot money on MPC3 specific content (plugins and Pro Pack and what not). But I simply cannot keep waiting and hoping anymore.

So I need to downgrade to MPC2 for the time being, and hopefully return to MPC3 once the key Live features are implemented again.

So my question is. How do I downgrade to MPC2 but also export projects made on MPC3?
Anyone know of a tutorial/walkthrough?

I understand it will be a lot of manual labour since they are so different and some things cannot be exported and needs to be done again from scratch.
But I need to know the quickest/best way to avoid starting fully from scratch with everything.

Those back-ups, of course are well before and wont work with v3 specific features/plug-ins.

Thanks for the knowledge sharing.
But unfortunately I got the MPC Live with the MPC3 beta installed, so I have kept updating and using MPC3 for my projects.

I understand that I won't be able to use things directly. So I will need to export things manually. Meaning available options in MPC3 for exporting stems/midi files.

I'm interested in knowing if someone has found the best/quickest way (own experience or tutorials) for doing this "migration"?

I get that. I'm asking for the simplest way to recreate my MPC3 projects on MPC2, to the extent possible, without actually needing to manually do everything from scratch. Therefore the quickest/easiest way to export what can be exported and reused in MPC2.

The reason being, as mentioned in the initial post, is because MPC3 is too big of an downgrade when it comes to the LIVE part of the MPC Live. Seriously crippled program change functionality, not being able to hold chords over sequence changes, the audio glitch between sequence change bug and more. I've been pretty vocal about these matters in other topics.

So far I have spent time on preparing what can be prepared for a live set using MPC3, thinking that they will surely fix these downgrades soon. But now after waiting 6 months I understand that it will not happen "soon". So I need to go to MPC2 to actually use it LIVE properly.
And now, when starting to actually practice the live set, these downgrades are getting seriously in the way. And MPC2 will 100% solve these issues.

Thank you, seems like a pretty straight forward process. Similar to when needing to move one "song" (meaning multiple sequences) into another Project with MPC3.

Any idea if I will need to create a separate plugins folder when downgrading to MPC2? Or will non-compatible effects/instruments simply not show in MPC2, meaning I can keep eveything else the same except my MPC3 projects in a separate folder?

All this what Tutor said & taking pics of different menus may be helpful.

An update on the process.

It is actually going pretty smoothly, especially using the MPC desktop software.
Or let's say it went smoothly until I noticed that I cannot drag and drop midi files into existing tracks... So the main manual labour will be the need to Copy events to existing tracks and then deleting non needed sequences afterwards.

Luckily my project is not that huge since I haven't relied too much on the MPC Live because of the MPC3 firmware limitations.

But still it will be a chore for sure...

If it's just MIDI files you can speed up the process by recording the tracks at a fast tempo like 999bpm.

I've already imported 6 out of 8 "songs", so will do the manual way for the remaining two this time :)

And an update to this part.
I didn't need to do anything else than what Mpc-tutor and B-Wise suggested.
The MPC3 specific plugins doesn't either show or only says "firmware updated needed to use" in activations in MPC2 :)

Cool, but make sure you check the MIDI data got recorded accurately on the grid. I think they fix it now, but before using this fast BPM trick, notes would get recorded with a delay, up to 10 ticks off on the grid.
