Crashes in Live 3 when pressing 'Erase' or 'Copy Sequence'

Im regularly getting a crash on projects when I press 'Erase' or try to 'Copy Sequence', making arrangement impossible. Have sent 2 project examples to Akai support.

New projects (no template) start fine and I can use these functions but at some point, and cant work out the root cause, these functions start crashing my projects. I do use CV playground, so thinking it could be something to do with that. Mostly these projects are using MPC samples, plugins and midi tracks. Sometimes audio tracks as well.

Wondering if anyone else has also experienced this?

I have experienced the Erase crash twice this week. Hard to recall what led up to the moment but it was both times after hitting the Erase button. Just using Drum tracks and chops.

I’m not on Live3, just MPCOne, but I’ve been getting very similar issues. Sometimes copy sequence, sometimes copy arrangement to clip or vice versa, results in a reset.

Akai support just told me last week, it’s a limitation of the 2gb gen1 models

It’s clearly a bug.

just to clarify I am on Live 2 and the latest OS

Oh please, this happens on my windows desktop pc with an i7 and 64gb of ram…

it’s in their code.

In fairness to Akai support, they did say they’re going to forward it to the devs as I provided a video. Their new AI support bot takes a while to get through though.

Clearly its a bug. I mean I cant really complete any songs with this. Tracks get to a point and then using Erase or Copy Sequence crash, so i cant easily get the track any further.

Recommend others submit the bug request as well so it gets some traction.

Literally my only complaint with Live 3 has been stability. I dont need any more features or plugins.

Surprised they didn’t say it's "normal behaviour" like they have with me complaining about the gain knob on the back of the MPC One turning the volume up from low levels results in the sound starting at the right before left, it creates an unbalanced signal.

Save, and save often. Create multiple versions of your files. It's the only way I maintain my sanity.

This happening too with the mpc sample when the sequence is playing while deleting midi note for arrangement, the device completely crash
