Bought a Live III last week, and even before it arrived I had read that it's best to leave the internal drive untouched so that's what I've been doing. Put in an SATA SSD and installed the MPC Bible files there, but otherwise haven't done anything in Controller mode.
However this morning about half of the factory Expansions are showing a generic image for their covers, just a rough bitmap image with the first letter of the expansion. And whenever I try and search for a sample, I.E. snare, I only get about 20-40 results when I should be seeing a LOT more (I have search in subfolders turned on, as well as view track files and folders).
Something weird is going on with my internal drive.
Already reached out to Akai Support, but with the holiday this week I'm not expecting a reply any time soon. Just hoping someone else might have saved a copy of the factory standalone expansions installer that support will give out if you ask. I reset preferences and restarted, but that didn't change anything either.
