Making different tracks out of a drumkit in MPC 3

Hello,

Another beginner question:

I loaded a drumkit in MPC 3 and made a beat on the track where the kit is loaded.
Now the kit also have bassline samples so I also recorded a bassline over it.
But now it is all in one track and I want my beat and bassline separated to mix and do fx later, how do I split my bass and beat please?

Should I duplicate it and remove the beat in the duplicated one ?

You can hit the track pencil icon and select 'explode track'. Or duplicate track and delete the appropriate events in each track. Or send the output of the bassline samples to a submix and apply your bass FX to that submix.
