Hope you all are having the best version of whatever this time of year is for you.

Live 3, OS3.6.

Been rebuilding my sequences from previous set up (MPC Live/ OS2.15) with a mix of multitrack midi record and good old piano roll input. Finding this the most tolerable method of transferring things over for me, YMMV.

Went to jam some sequences and found that track 2 ('Bass More') on each of the 6 sequences I've done so far, has this very odd note stuck/repeat behaviour. What im hearing is confirmed by the midi monitor, its triggering the 1st note of the track once per tick...eg constantly triggering E1.

The actual bass line is a regular house type bass line, the seq is 8 bars long. looking at the arrangement, I can see the expected notes. Theres no clips - except for the required arrange row. This issue only crops up on this track, but of course in each sequence cos track is technically all the way through.

If i change the bar start to 2, the notes switch to playing as expected/programmed, and its stays that way when I switch the bar start back to 1. So theres an easy enough temp solve. I have to do this per sequence.

So I do this for each sequence, and save the project with a new name. Load new name project, and there is the stuck note issue back as it was.

I've got to kick around a few more things - copy events to new track, delete track, create new track etc etc...

Anyway. its pretty odd :) Will report to the mothership when I have a work around/solution.

Peace.

*so*... one fun thing about the MPC piano role is you can have hidden notes *under* a longer sustained note. Make a backup of the track, and just remove/delete the first note...

or you could go to list edit, and see if you have a lot of events "around* 1.1 that are very short and just delete them there as well.

That's my first guess without seeing the track.

I'll get a video posted up early next week on my YouTube channel to show how you can manufacture the issue, and a couple ways to go about fixing it.

Thanks, I checked list edit to be sure and its showing the expect info, no repeated notes hiding anywhere.

Current behaviour:
Press play or play start. First note is triggering per tick, for length of seq.
In piano roll, delete first note with eraser, repeated note stops, AND none of other notes trigger.
Undo delete or use Pencil to re add any note at seq start, re-triggering starts again.

> Change 'bar start' OR 'bar end' and seq plays as expected, all notes trigger as programmed.

Feels like a bug. I still haven't tried deleting track etc, and i'll also see if i can get a useful video for reporting purposes.

I'm mostly entertained by the intriguing nature of this at the moment!

Peace.

Copied events to new track for each seq. Deleted original track. New track plays as expected/desired - no retrig.

Save project with new name. Power cycle, load project, plays as expected/desired.

Submitted to the mothership with video link.

Party on.
