Replacing Q-Links

Has anyone even replaced the Q-Links on their MPC One? Not through Akai, but got the parts and had an technician do the work.

Two of my q-links can get jumpy. De-oxit Fader cleaner seem to help for a bit. I put it in a syringe and then apply at the where the shaft moves. It works for a while, they can still be a bit jumpy at first, but then seem ok, but slowly the issue returns. I saw a comment somewhere about about using compressed air on the pots, but they aren't open from the top, and I guess they are sealed inside.

Wondering if the pots are off the shelf of akai specific?

I have no idea but would like to know what the issue is causing defective knobs,
cause I have two faulty ones too, and sometimes the pop-in overlay freezes when I touch them and I have restart.
I doubt its wear or dust somehow, cause usually these knobs are sealed, I have a dust cover
and dust would not cause the freeze.

In some other thread I didnt find someone mentioned they are capacitive touch sensitive,
and mentioned some conductive stuff you put on the shaft under the cap thats drying away

Because of my location and the humidity we get here over the year, it may be some oxidation making the issues. And the de-oxit fader cleaner work for a while. I've had suggestions if the past about putting foil between the knobs and the shaft to help there conductance, and the issues still happens when remove the knob and twist the shaft directly, making sure to make lots of contact. So I think that rules out that idea.

I have the overlay turned off, but yeah I used to get that issue from time to time when it was on, but I prefer it off.

There is a video on youtube of a guy replacing them with the same fault. It seems it wasn't all of them, but looks like he still replaced all 4. I have asked where he got them from.

If you email them with your model number they can probably help you get the right part, and you *might* be able to get just an encoder to try and resolder.

EDIT: Okay, while it points to *MPC LIVE 2" products, the board says MPC Keys on it... I'm guessing either way MPC Stuff likely *has* the full replacement board... somewhere

Thanks for the suggestion. I had searched MPC Stuff, and there isn't anything for the MPC One.

But, if I bought your suggested board, I could just remove the encoders from that one, and switch them over.

There a Youtube video where the guy shows a bag of 4 encoders, maybe he got them from akai direct.

Capacitive sensing seems to be a general problem with the MPCs, though I'm not sure how much is the unit and how much is user issues. If I'm wearing my thick synthetic hoodie they're really jumpy, or if the TV is on they seem to skip about, the same way I can't record my Bass because of hum whilst the TV is on.
I could probably do better with my power management, having the MPC on its own dedicated power outlet would probably improve grounding and help but I've got too much stuff requiring mains power on my desk.
Apparently metal knobs can help?

It's only the top two knobs that play up, so I think it's just an issue with them, not me.
