Track length common to all sequences?

I have 8 copies of a sequence to build into a song. Most tracks are 16 bars. If I change one track in just one sequence to 2 bars, its changes that track length in every sequence. How do I have a track looping over a shorter length in just one sequence?

In MPC 2, that was possible, but in MPC 3 the track length is now shared across all sequences. So changing it in one sequence affects every sequence. Because of that, the only workaround is to copy the 2-bar content so it fills 16 bars, or switch from a sequence-based workflow to a clip-based workflow.

Isn't there an option to change the track size even on 2.0. It's set to all be same size by default, but it can be changed per track. Still, I think clips just make this easier, but I do wish each clip had an option to display the bar length while in the Matrix. Even some tiny numbers near a corner would be very helpful.

Thanks, I'll check out clips. I bought the pro pack for other reasons, so I'm all set.

That sucks if that's the case, but clip will get the job done.
