Iv just resurrected my MPC1000 after more than a decade broken , pad upgrade n all , Im on akai os 2.13 atm.
I wanted to run 2 elektron sequencers through it , a Machine Drum and a digitone keys and sequence whatever with the 3 sequencers. Whatever atm is a make noise 0coast, a soma pulsar 23 and an Erica synths Perkons. Im trying to debug this work flow for studio use , and hoping for practical reasons gig wise to record the midi from the elektron machines so as not to have to bring them to a gig , avoid kitchen sink syndrome.
This is all working well bar 1 very annoying problem , a note / channel on the Soma Pulsar, the snare keeps firing too long and or sticking on . It's not workable like this and I'm wondering if JJOS might sort it?
There doesn't seem to be a work around.
The 3 sequencers (2 elektrons into MPC1000) do make for a very awesome hands on interface and sequencing solution generally. And for gigs the MPC using sampled audio and Midi from the elektrons (and other bit in studio), with a Pulsar 23 and Perkons sequenced by the MPC, while also having their own sequencers (so like 3 decks) , is a serious rig fo a gig , no.
Has anyone worked with a system like this and have you ran into any problems. The MPC 1000 is the weak link, the note hang with the Soma Pulsar doesn't happen when it's not in the middle. I know the Pulsar can be temperamental midi wise but I suspect the mpc in this case.
This system would be very cool indeed if it can work properly so,
Is there a work around I'm not seeing , or can jjos sort this problem?
What with money being tight, I don't want to shell out for it if it won't.
Has anyone put a system like this together and has there been similar issues.
Anyways ,
Thanks
