Hello everyone.
I'm stumped!
All I want to do is have audio from YouTube, go into the Live 3, then sent directly to the GR-Mega for mangling.
I've tried every possible iteration, but I can't get this to happen.
Could someone be so kind as to shed some light on the appropriate Live 3 audio settings.

Kindest regards.

Have you tried sending the MPC master outputs to the GR inputs?

Hello, and yes, connecting the main outs into the Mega was one of the first things I tried.

I’m trying to set it up so all audio (at any time) coming into the (going out of) the Live 3, can be instantaneously captured, and mangled by the Mega.

Many thanks!

So what happened when you did it?
Make sure the Monitor tab is on in the sample page. If not you'll see the incoming audio lighting up the meter, but you won't hear anything.

You skip the sample page & use an audio track to monitor the incoming audio & use its 4 insert FX, Sends, Submixes & pick the outputs.

The thing I just learned about audio tracks is that you record the incoming audio (in your case YouTube) with the resampler. You can do that with audio from the sampler. Which means you record the incoming audio with internal audio like the plugin & drum tracks, all at once. This will save me so much time when recording sketches. :-D

Sorry for the late reply..

Yes, I've attempted every suggestion above, and I'm now at the point where I can get audio into the Mega, but I'm unable to hear mangled return audio in the Live 3.
Would I not have 2 instances of audio at any time, even if I could hear the mangled return audio from the Mega?

This is the problem 99% of the time in situations like this

MAAAAN! This sh*t done messed me up some many times. Tore up my studio one day, like WTF & then I remembered :hmmm: :x

Now, this the first thing I turn on when I load up a project. They should let us leave this on as an option. I get why it's off, but come da F on this BS. Let me pick to set it forget it.

You need a mixing board or some eles the GR audio to be sent to or use the headphone jack on the GR if it has one. Or, send YouTube to the GR & than send that to the MPC.

The audio tracks can have different inputs, so maybe have YT go to the one stereo or mono inputs, send the outs to the GR than have that be sent to another audio track with a different a input. I don't know if this will work.

Also make sure that in the track settings, that the monitor not off, pick: In, Auto or Merge. If not you won't hear the audio. This is why you may be hearing any thing now.

Thanks guys for the help, but I believe the GR should be able to be used as an external FX module, and this is where I got the idea sending any audio that essentially came into the Live 3, be then sent directly to the Mega for mangling - and straight back out to the Live 3 for recording/FX etc vis the Mega's outputs, and directly into the Live 3's inputs.
There must be a simple way to do this than having to route the audio into an external mixer (if that's what the above reply was suggesting).

Thanks again guys.

You're right. This should be a simple thing & its either a bug or user error or both. Try the other 2 suggestions I posted in that my pervious post.
