Hopefully the Force2 is next but they rename it to MPC64. It would be better received in 2027 than it was in 2019. May be they'll dropped the Force & the new One together. A device more specialized to run 3.0 & a compact lower priced model coming out after the L3 & the big-ass XL, would make sense & offers plenty of options before we even get to any of new MPC Keys.

it makes no sense to drop the force and one 2 together as they different product lines, its more likely the 61 key would drop at the same time as the 37 key.

or maybe it will be Force Keyboard up next, we all saw the prototype diagram, that looked plausible.

but typically Akai can release a max of two hardware units per calender year, so hence i am expecting the mpc one mk2 up next as that was the most popular unit after the Live.

I argue that releasing 2 different keys wouldn't make sense, because they would appeal to the same keyboard users. Some wanted a 61 may really want a 88 key with hammer action that's what I would get, but this may not what some looking for the 37 would want. So the Force² & One² would make just as much sense as there are more MPC users that aren't looking keys at all.

The Force keys got dropped probably because it pads were only 5x8 or some weird number instead of 8x8, which completely throws of the workflow of the Force, but 8x8 on the Keys may be too uncomfortable to use.

Akai can release more than 2 units per year if they wanted. This is just a self imposed limit, but if they're following the last release order than the Force & One are next. It would be better if they add one or both of keys types of the other 2 units. Or they could release all the keys types (37, 61 & maybe a 88) together later. This would allow keyboard players to decide upfront which is best for them with out having to buy one now & then exchange it later.

Either way, this why I wish Akai would just treat us like adults & just tell us what's on the line up menu & estimated release dates so we the consumer can plan out what we're gonna get & they can still do their "leak" strategy stuff, since we know what's coming but not really when & ai will even be better by then.

I can see them delaying the Force² if they make the current one compatible with the software & make the MPC compatible with ACP. I don't plan on using the software & would just rather use a F² with built-in extra power like 16 audio tracks, more plugins & hopefully a tilted screen. I wouldn't mind it getting delayed if I know it's coming later.

Both platforms are on the same OS, so I don't see why the Force won't become compatible with the software. The Force 8x8 design would be more appealing for MPC users that really like the clip-matrix workflow & Ableton Push users vs any of the MPCs with clips.

Definitely not a fan of 16 qlinks across the top of the mpc.. ill wait to see both live 3 and XL side by side in person then ill buy one

I like it, but I got the Force, which has 8 knobs set up like that. They moved the 8 function buttons from the bottom of the pads to the top near the knobs on the XL, which I think is better.

The knobs going across with the tilted OLED screens make it better to see everything & preform on them with macros. I need to make a video on this to really show what I mean. I like that the XL has 16 knobs & function buttons vs 8, but 8 with OLED screens is way better than 4 knob with the screens.

I'm DEFINITELY getting my hands on that MPC XL. It looks amazing and ready to relieve us Pro level, sample chopping, MPC4000 Aksys children from years of Akai vaporware trauma! I sold the MPCX 4 months ago in preparation for this day.

Logic Pro level Stems, CHORDimist 3 arp/strumming, Moog accurate VSTs and proper MIDI import will force me to sell my Push 3 Standalone.
