where to download MPC2 firmware?

i want to roll back from MPC3 to MPC2. it seems the older firmware versions are no longer available on the akai website. is there a repository somewhere else? can someone just email it to me? i find MPC3 to be complete ass.

That is a little bit worrying :hmmm:
Should someone of us download them all and keep somewhere so that we can have access? In the case AKAI removes them fully that is...

Wonder what this mean going forward. Could AKAI theoretically somehow implement a firmware soft-lock on all devices connected to the internet, and make it so that we cannot even install MPC 2 firmware in the future..?

This was inevitable. They need all users on the new OS. I predicted all new plug ins, expansions, etc wouldn’t work on OS2 and I was told I was crazy and a hater lol. And I’m predicting all paid plugins will eventually will be deauthorized until you update to 3.X

Once all the old pre 3.X hardware units are discontinued it’s a wrap. They want everybody to buy new hardware because that’s how they survive.
