Even when stretched all the way out the stand is BARELY able to fit the XL & that lil front rubber lip will stress the headphone volume knob, don’t break the volume knob. I had to place a layer of foam at the right side of the machine so the knob would have room to move and NOT get rub against caught agains it. If you just throw the machine in there, the knob can’t move because of the pressure.

I checked th3 measurements for the stand i have below.. my X fits snug and was expecting this problem. Thank you good find..

I hate the qlinks im going today to see it in person. Its going to be industry standard like the 3000 no question a killer product

Now I’ve seen it in person I actually like it a lot. Doesn’t look shit at all. Those pictures didn’t do it justice.

Kinda torn about it right now, do I wait to see what else is on the horizon or do I spend a lot of money right now.

My only real reason to buy is th USB c audio to mix and apply effects in my daw.. I want to know if it can really track out 24 tracks with say 8 to 12 plugins without a glitch over 48k..

Anything different as far as plug ins, expansions etc that come with it? They usually add something with new hardware but I haven’t seen anything

Peeped some of them vids... def a nice lookin machine w/ plenty internal upgrades and more logical hardware/buttons. I def want one; but, no rush and not gassing for it.

I'll wait 2-3 years until refurbs become available for around $1300-1500.

X SE was only released April 2023 w/ an msrp of $2499.

I bought a refurb X SE about 2 years after its' 2023 release, just last October 2025 for $1350.
(actually $1300, since they forgot to include the slip-on screen cover and partially refunded me $50)

This new XL is straight up more than double what I paid for my X SE. My cheap broke-ass can't ever afford that, lol.

Since it's my first modern mpc (coming from a 60), I am still very new to it, learning/practicing it, overwhelmed by its' features/capabilities and absolutely still excited & enjoying it.



After finally finishing up the MPC Bible... now been in the lengthy process of re-setting up & organizing my entire setup... cleaning countless (maybe +50) dusty, dirty instrument/aux/midi cables and their corroded plugs/ends (for my cheapy Mackie 24ch mixing console; which was a lot of work too treating/working the pots/faders & rear jacks w/ IPA) and 3x 6u rack cases filled with various synths and fx racks, etc.

Being more thoughtful this time around and drilled the rear lids to install large rubber grommets (to run all the cables through... instead of having the backs of cases wide open); so less/no dust will accumulate on all my racks (my setup is in a dusty garage). A little tricky though routing cables through holes; but should be worth the extra effort. Done with the power cables so far. Next up are the midi cables, then aux sends/return cables, then finally inst cables.

It wasn't just the MSRP if I remember correctly, it was the typical sale price for a while at launch. And to be fair, the XL is literally only 15% more at launch, which is saying something since it's 1. vastly more powerful, 2. has a ton of improvements over the first gen X/SE, and 3. Is selling after President Dumb @ss's tariffs have caused the cost of electronics to skyrocket and inflation to steadily rise.

the wolves are eating that XL has satiated the masses of MPC fans,

but I gotta look ahead to the next MPC, as my next gen hunger has yet to be quenched, fingers crossed up next is the new gen MPC One .
