MPC Standalone 3.7 Firmware Update Notes

MIDI keyboard issue using 3.7. The MIDI core no longer works using USB-C. Try USB-A, that works perfectly well in the old manner.

MIDI keyboard fail in 3.7.0. Anyone that has been using the USB-C output on the LIVE III for their MIDI keyboard may find it stops working with OS 3.7.0. A quick workaround is to use one the USB-A outputs instead. That works fine.

Mpc Live 2 user here,

New issue after switching to 3.70 : on the ‘ next sequence’ when using the ‘sudden’ sequence change. All on board samples and external gear falls silent. Literally the first notes play and then the sequence dies a death, nothing restart even when the sequence reaches the end of its loop. Only restarting the sequence or changing into another sequence at the end of the loop or next bar works.

I wish they would remind people in the released note to always reset the preferences after updated the OS. This can clear many little bugs.

Then how would we be able to help anybody here that has issues?

“Reset preferences” is our “Did you turn it off back on?”

I wished the made it not necessary to reset preferences after an update.

But it does fix some issues & it even turn it off & on part of the process. So they at lease thought of that!

Im really enjoying the MPCe partial presets and qlink x/y mapping of any parameter. Honestly MPC is now a modulation monster.

Im setting up blank drum program to be 16 mini kaos pads to manipulate heaps of things. This to me is more powerful than parameter locking in Elektrons. The workflow is a bit tedious but is easy nonetheless. But once setup you can introduce so much movement.

I didnt get excited when I saw this feature announced but actually its really opened up what is possible.

I reckon they are setting things up to introduce capability across non drum tracks. I.e. if you had the same menu for qlinks MPCe view but an option to apply to all pads on a non drum program per note, then you basically have MPE and in a format that doesnt involve changing every plugin menu.

I thought I figured out how to record these automations, but it doesn't seem to fully record them. The automation that is recorded under the sequence looks like it is recording the movement, but when playing back the sequence the automation is not as dramatic do you have this issue as well?
