I'm relatively new to MPC, and I have a Live 2, which I've just updated to the latest MPC-OS 3.7. I have made some simple drumbeats over the past few months that I want to use as background while I play guitar and sing live. I created each drumbeat as a separate project, using a single drumkit track.
When creating a new song, I load up one of my existing projects, then "SAVE AS" the new project name and then drop in a new tempo and beat, overwriting the default Sequence 01. All my songs are using the same drumkit (just one Drum Track, using my customized kit), but each Project has its own tempo and time signatures.
Now I'm realizing that I should've done it differently. Please correct me if there's a better way, but I think I should use a single Project, and have it contain many Sequences (one Sequence for each song) that I can switch quickly between when performing live.
The problem I'm now having is that I have dozens of separate projects, each with a single "Sequence 01", but I want to copy all the sequence data from all the Projects (including drum midi notes as well as tempo and time signature data) into a single Master Project. I can't find a way to copy the sequence from one project to another! I saw some old tutorials that said I could go to the Browser and Show Hidden Files and then I could load the sequence data, but all I see in the hidden Project folders is 16 WAV files for my drum samples. I don't need to copy those, as they are the same for all songs. I want the MIDI and tempo data. How do I get that?
Thanks in advance!
