I can use this to trigger, but how would I use it to for example MPCe source pad x movement to control voltage output for CV1 or CV2, or CV etc? or same for Midi CC?

I was playing around this for hours wondering why MPCe pads didn't work on everything everywhere like alluded to in the videos. I use "send to" a lot and even I forgot to try this earlier on. If they are going to gatekeep it behind a drum track, they should point out the "send to" method in the addendums or product videos. I suspect that this question is going to be asked a lot going forward.

Set up a midi or cv track. On a empty drum track go i/o and send to one of those tracks. Then go to Q link edit>MPCE PADS. At the top, select which axis or pressure input. Add a parameter slot on the right. Navigate to Track >Midi 001>Edit>CC#. Then when you play a pad on the drum track, it will send x/y and pressure plus trigger to the midi track.

Dope thanks man. I need to wait until I get on some hardware, I couldn't wait so tried it on the software but I cant even figure out the q-links on the software lol

Man.. This device is great..!!

On my X SE my CPU would hit 70-80% with all kind of random sound glitches running this project I'm working on.. Now on the XL 22% max..!!

Till now it's been worth every cent..

Got a few things on the software site that needs to be added but I will make a wish list after my honeymoon days..

Whoa works great sending drum tracks. Do you know if there is a work around to be able to do this with keygroups or maybe plugins? With drum tracks I have to do it per pad and can't do chords or Arps.

Still trying to memorize buttons for now. I miss my pad param X dedicated buttons tho.

It works the same way with all track types. To have all pads respond the same way, you need to set up the pad selection to "all" when you are assigning parameters. Navigate to the plug in parameter you want to control. Same for keygroup parameters. When you are on an empty drum track while not in pad perform mode, pads will be chromatic. You may not initially hear any notes on bank A because it is playing the lowest octave. To use chords or scales, you have to turn on pad perform mode while on the drum track. Then chords and chord arps work with the x/y expression.

Im going to say it right now i was wrong about the qlinks I repeat i was wrong about the qlinks.. the XL is overkill for those that dont have a dedicated studio i mean a studio room not a bedroom.. XL with usb c / audio and midi with a computer and a keyboard such as komplete kontrol or keylab mk3 if you have the software you wont need anything else except outboard gear.. the XL checked off all i wanted the past 10 years.

Bro.. Watch out before you'll have to eat those words again.. It doesn't matter where you place the XL, It will like the master of that room. Only thing is that it's not quite portable but if one really need it to be portable than a flight case is the way..

Thats what I mean.. you need to have space.. also you wont fit the XL as a carry-on and throw it up in the cubby on a plane.. so my words in wont eat. The XL is really a centerpiece.. its the size of my 16 channel mixing controller i had to remove and now sell... :-D :-D :-D :-D live 3 is all you need is what I mean if you want portability
