Can't save/chop stereo samples, crashes the machine(AKAIOS)

WSG everybody,

has anyone else ever encountered this problem? I'm recording in and when I'm trying to save a stereo sample so I can chop it up, my MPC crashes, the screen glitches out and I gotta reboot. I dealt with it for a bit but it'd be nice to have width again( ).

I'm not sure what upgrades beyond the newer pads it has, but I think it might have some more RAM or something like that in it if that makes any difference.

Check the RAM in the back first for sure, if it has the 128mb upgrade make sure it's connected properly, as loose RAM can glitch out all sorts of functions. And if it doesn't have the RAM card, go get one!

I think it might have that, when I get the chance I'll jiggle it around. It also has some balancing issues between R/L, like 3db.

JJOS is definitely in the wishlist, it's so time consuming to pitch more than 16 chops.

There is a free JJOS version which also enables you to pitch up or down all samples in a program at once. Or pitch the sample first in Sample Edit mode before slicing and converting as a workaround.
