Hi Folks, after some extensive work I have a new way to use the 500 for mute group chopping. Though it requires and external control, it allow full start time shift to be chosen in program edit, and it is saved without making destructive changes or extra copies of the source WAV. It is fixed velocity but that is generally preferred for re-arranging chops.
My verifed setup use a 500 with a LaunchkeyMini, but will work with any controller that can send fixed velocity on global MIDI. I am super excited to share this and am pretty much using this as my default set up for my trusty 500. Please review and post comments/edits. It was easier for me to make the doc than shoot a video and I think having the parameter table makes it more like a recipe to follow.
