Will we ever see a working OS on MPC?

If you are on 2.15, if you change the question to 'Will we ever see any improvements on 2.5' the answer is no, it's done finished.

If we change the question to 'Will we ever see a bug free version of 3', I'd go with no, too. As they iron out the new OS they'll introduce new function, introducing new bugs. But eventually it will get to the point where they accept the level of minor bugs and decide the cost to fix them isn't worth the time. For example, there is a mapping error in the OPx4 in midi learn and modulation, FM Shaping is actually FM Filtering and vice versa. I've reported it, but I really think for every MPC user there is that uses the OPx4 the only person trying to use this mapping is me.

The thing that made me jump for 2.5 to 3.6 was hearing the Midi Note off bug was fixed. How that was not fixed earlier I don't know.

It seems like something about 3.0 has allowed Akai to be more efficient at fixing bugs. I hope it continues & that they add more QOL improvements like copy & paste file names.

do Clip programs work as intended in 2.15?

I think 2.0 uses the old limited Clip programs. The 3.0 style clips is from the Force & you need to get the Pro-Pack that goes for $200.

I think I dont really get how they are ment to be used.
Have to experiment more.

LOL @ another one of these threads. we got sold a system in development presented as a working unit. Then when we became wise to it the cretins come out of the wood work to defend it like you are the problem for buying it. It's like stockholm syndrome. It wasnt finished, it's not finished and it will never be finished as in a purely stable state. they have proved they are incapable.

I chose a rom in comfy on and stuck to that. i know all its quirks and i can just make music using it.

the denial though is insane.

also lmfao @ pay for the clip matrix.... they are HONING ppls corn holes violently. It's a crucial part of the 3.xx work flow and they put it behind a pay wall like a big F you and still ppl pay for it like chumps.

If i need that I just use the force software with a matrix controller. it's better than what mpc offers.
