well, i dont know. i would imagine it would work fine. its just midi info. i tried using my mpc as a controller for reason and that worked fine too. i havent been using it all lately cuz i dont realy like the sounds reason has, kinda casio, nah mean? some of the drums sound good, but the synths are not for me. ummmm, but yeah, the tap repeat should work i would think, but dont know from personal experience. are you using the mpc to control reason?

well the tap repeat does not seem to work the same as it does stand alone w/o reason...
i feel you on reason synths etc, i try to import as much stuff as possible, & stay away from the mojority of the sounds, if reason would only let you record into it

I have yet to use the MPC as a contrtoller for Reason. Mostly I'll put together little beats in Reason, chop em up in Recycle and add spice on the MPC. Haven't done it yet but I guess I'll start doing that with FruityLoops and other matrix-based computer sequencers since it's so fast to come up with rough ideas in a matrix sequencer. Quick production method.

Check out a track I worked with this methodology and then mixed live with a friend dropping guitar licks on it at my site:

www.thynctank.com and click on the track name DooWop. The sample at the beginning and end was from a Disney scary sounds record from the early 60s and was dropped in live. Track's a bit long but it's alright I guess.

thnx, i use a little bit of all the devices, i really want to get goin w/ cubase or logic so i can utilize the MPC to its fullest, i know the tap repeat works w/ those since you can record directly in... i use a lot of live stuff, bass, guitar, sax etc, but choppin up live stuff into parts takes the live feel out a bit...

I use the mpc with reason on occasion, If i am going to use the subtractor mainly, I dont need the drum machine since i got an mpc, I use it for vocal hits mainly.

I dont use the NNwahtever

yeah the fx kinda blow, but the nnxt is actually a pretty nice little multi sampler. you should check it out. it gets pretty deep if you spend some time with it and start with some deccent sounds, plus you can trigger with mpc so you can actually make some real nice drum programs iff you wanted tto. still, i only use the mpc these days.

i cant even get my mpc to work w/ reason as anything but a controller, even though ive tried to get em to synch any ideas?

maybe reason has quantizing on at a different rate than the MPC, hence note repeat will change.

another subject:
i know its possible to mb have a beat in the mpc & connect via midi to reason for synths etc... i cant seem to get them to sync what so ever, i can use mpc as a controller but what if i wanna sync the 2 via midi time code...
any ideas/?
