MPC live II is useless after 3.7 OS upgrade

I hadn't used the MPC for a while and I got the usual upgrade message when booting, so I updated. Now all sequences have a delay or glitch when changing in song or performance. This is a disaster as it sounds awful. I tried to downgrade to 3.6 but my song project would not load! I tried resetting preferences. Everything was fine before the 3.7 install.

Also the option to export tracks is moved/gone? I can export a audio mixdown but not individual stems. The render source only has outputs or submixes. Sorry I may have missed this bu AKAI seem to have royally fkd up my whole experience. All track option produces silence.

I just need the entire song exported as stems. A basic thing, so I can edit finalise in a DAW/mastering program

The glitch between sequences in some projects is a known bug and was also there in 3.6 and 3.42, but was temporarily fixed in 3.5. I have sent an example project to Akai that recreates the issue. Seems to only affect gen 1 models under certain circumstances. Saving your project in 3.7 means it will no longer load in older firmware versions. Load up a backup instead.

As for exporting stems, this is only possible when exporting a sequence so you must first convert the song to a sequence, this has always been the case since MPC 1.x.

Song mode works, but you might hear a glitch between sequences when listening to that song within song mode itself. The glitch occurs anywhere where you change sequences in real time during playback (e.g. main, next seq, song mode).

I don't think the glitch is there on any resulting stereo mixdown, and it's not there if you convert that song to a single sequence (which most people do AFAIK).

It does not affect all projects, I have yet been able to purposely recreate it, and only have one project affected by it myself. This is why it is so hard for Akai to pinpoint where the issue is.

thanks all for the replies and input. I can confirm I didn't have this issue until 3.7. I have done everything to sort it out. I just can't downgrade ATM as I have a project on the go. I thought it may be the storage device I was using as it sounds like the machine can't write or read and then glitches. It also doesn't repeat the same behaviour although moving from say sequence 1 to sequence 7 is usually worse than say from 1 to 2. It's a massive issue for this device as it was one of it's biggest pluses.

I was able to export stems off thanks to the song mode, I must have had a long sequence before as I can't recall having to turn my song into a sequence. I'm a total noob with this though. I do find that sometimes the option to export individual tracks is shown and sometimes it isn't. Again I could be doing something wrong or not have something enabled. An option to export stems in sing mode would be good.

EDIT - it also doesnt not export all the stems, despite them playing on the MPC and it saying on the display it's exporting. GEEZE
