Akai Force Forum: Everything relating to the Akai Force, the iconic 64 pad, clip-based standalone sampler/groovebox from Akai.

Hi.

The Akai Force is the brain of my studio and modular setup, but there is one thing missing for a truly fluid performance: a dedicated hardware extension for deep Q-Link and Fader control.
My Proposal: A controller inspired by the form factor of the Novation Launch Control XL, but specifically designed for the Force and mpc ecosystem.

Key Features:
OLED Feedback: Every knob and fader should have a small OLED display (like the MPC X or SSL UF8) to show parameter names and values. No more 'head-down' to the main screen or guessing mappings.
Deep Integration (Project & Track Mode): Immediate access to both Track-specific parameters (for producing) and Project Macros (for performing) without switching banks constantly on the main unit.
Modular & Studio Focus: With the Force’s CV/Gate capabilities, this would be a game-changer for modular users to control multiple CV parameters simultaneously with clear visual feedback.
This would bridge the gap between standalone tactile control and the visual clarity we need for complex setups.
Who else would love to see a 'Force XL' extension? Let's vote this up!"

Kind regards from not good but old Germany.

Sorry mate. But that's not true. U can connect the launch control to the mpc or Force and it works. It would be just a new product by Akai that fits into the family and do that thing a little bit better with some Displays. The technology is there. They only have to add on.

It would be nice, of course. Some kind of a protocol for integrating controllers with MPC/Force software internals, allowing information to go both ways, to have texts and status lights displayed on external control surfaces. But I don't think Inmusic have any intention to go that way.
