Hello this is a nice site... im new to it...

I was one of those newbies who brought into the gimmicks of Roland's MV8000... im not saying its a bad machine.. but im the type of person who needs a person there with me to teach me stuff.. im not trying to read manuals and diagrams... thats just me... anyway, on with the questions.... i

I think i remember readin on the Soundonsound.com website that the MPC3000 has a VGA expansion... does any one have pictures of this? Im debating on whether or not to get a MPC 3000 (can get it for cheap) or whether to save up and get the 4000...

my second question is...

does the MPC 3000 and 4000 have inputs for both a module and a pair of active monitors? I would like to use only one sound module and eliminate my mixer but just plugging my motif rack directly into the MPC.

The vga expansion shows nothing more than what you see on the LCD display except x times bigger. This vga option works only AFAIK with older models of monochrome monitors.

Nor the 4k nor the 3k have inputs to plug extra soundmodules in (except the sampler input :-) but that is not what you had in mind I guess), so stick with the mixer setup.

... im not trying to read manuals and diagrams...

That is not the attitude that will bring you a lot of knowledge, noone likes to answer questions whose answer can be easily found in the manual...
