No copying sequences with only 1 track sequences?

So I would assume muting pads and playing out, or muting pads and exporting and such would be the way to get your projects onto PC without using MpcSoftware. I really do not use their software at all, or plan on to.

It doesn’t even look like it can copy sequences and use mutes to flesh out a song.

Ok... So I know people have said I am "harsh" at times in regards to Akai, Mpc's, and How they do business but honestly... If people were more upset, spoke out more, and didn't buy every Mpc like they collecting Pokemon(You vote with your $$$), then maybe they would actually get it.

Remember when everyone went at Akai over the Force issues on their Forum, then their Forum shut down because it was just filled with complaints? Like Ill Gates was on their busting their balls. It was nice to see because soon after they did that, they got an actually Large update addressing the issues!

People really gotta speak up, stop buying every little Mpc, that would make companies like Akai wake up and listen.

This is coming from someone who works in the VideoGame industry, has seen what has happened there, with people voting with there money and it works. Sure it harms the business's image a bit us speaking out, but it gives them a chance to actually Listen, and then hopefully they can redeem themselves. Even though this is a decent product for the price, the lack of midi for the specs it has, is absolutely trash. I know I didn't expect it, but this ain't no Mpc60 that for sure. It's just Marketing.

Give The People Basic Midi Akai! Jeezzzz...

To be honest I dont think they should do anything else its a real sketch pad with a few gems but $399 you get a ton feom what i watched.. I couldn’t see going to GC to play around with it at all.. if you have a MPC you don't need this at all nothing you will gain.. if I was to buy one and didn't have the funds I get the mpc one.

I got the one and although I love it, the portability of this one is what makes it interesting to me. Plus its a kinda similar ecosystem and that is very usefull. Dont have the time to learn a KO2 or a 404mk2.

I definitly would understand people going for a one, but this has some really neat extra's that would justify it for me I guess.

It's a great, feature packed portable sampler but its sequencer and MIDI implementation (no program change Tx or midi cc etc) atm are lacking for it to replace my MPC1k.
I'll see if Akai will beef up its sequencer / midi implementation in subsequent updates...

Think I am one of the few who really will love the Sample and its simple workflow. Can spend days on the 500 (just released a 500beats only project, shameless plug: https://open.spotify.com/album/2XOmQ06g ... pTeuBT_bFA).

I also love the 404 for a lot of things, except for the sequencer which I find to be very frustrating. The Roland P6 came close to successfully fuse 404 and MPC features, but I think Akai nailed this one for what it’s actually going for. **** their misleading “vintage workflow” tagline, it’s a shameless 404 rendition by Akai. A concept I personally really love. Not having multiple tracks in a sequence is quite a miss imo, but something I can work around and live with.

My prediction for proper “exporting” projects will be transferring them to a larger MPC when this feature has been added. Akai wants people to believe they need a bigger MPC to really finalize their tracks.

I wish it was a 500. This thing can’t even copy sequences or perform track mutes. It’s basiclyy just a recording for finger drumming with effects

That had me worried. Only thing holding me back is I really would like to know the compatibility with MPC projects. It seems like there is only "Track 01". So all steps/notes are on one track and in the step edit it only shows by pad. So I'm wondering how the mixer, and exporting/exploding will work. Stem export etc if I want to mix my MPC Sample beat in Pro Tools.

I want to be able to start or pick projects back up and forth between projects on the computer and then Sample.

I feel like they purposely nerfed it a little bit (like Apple) to not eat into One/Live/XL sales.

Actually getting conflicting info from all the YouTube vids regarding sequences and pad mutes. Sounds like the workflow is just like the 404 where you have to resample not sure why they would choose that workflow vs their superior one.

Looks like there is a stereo mixdown of the current 'song', I don't see how you can easily export stems/multis if there's only one track.

IMO import into the MPC Software, then 'export drum pads as stems' (or whatever its called).

And already, people want to make it a macro-mpc rather than respecting it for being a micro-sampler. if you want the big daddy sampler then why buy this?

It's the reduction of features and simplicity that makes it attractive. I hope they dont have any planned updates for it and it stays static in the way it comes outta the box. like any normal hardware sampler.
