got today, played with in for 30 minutes (owned mpc2000xl mpc500 previous): simple and efficient, good sound

some things I noticed:
- the knobs settings are not moving immediately u have to go to min or max before they engage
- pops in the one shot samples when filtered
- everything runs thru the fx inputs pads, SO option in menu would be great, so that the pads don't go thru pad f x and knob fx's and only input
- there is no autoloop unfortunately. WOULD be great if after sampling it would loop play immediately
or now

This is mentioned in the user manual page 18

These knobs have absolute position only. This means that as you are moving between banks of controls, the knob’s position may not align with the current setting of the parameter in that bank. When this happens, an arrow will appear to the left or right of the parameter name, pointing in that direction. Turn the knob in the direction shown until the parameter becomes selected and the arrow disappears. You will now be able to regain control of the selected parameter using the knob.

loopop's video shows that he's using an unreleased firmware 1.3... that doesn't have this "catch" behavior... so you can have direct control with the knobs... we just need to wait for the next firmware update to officially launch.

Loopop also referenced project compatibility with (paraphrasing here) "just released firmware 3.8"... so he probably recorded a bunch of content well ahead of launch, and there was probably an expectation that these updates would land when Sample came out... because he didn't note (like he usually does) that he's on alpha/beta firmware or software.

The video is still 99% accurate, but there's definitely a handful of "nice to haves" that seem to be coming "soon"... which appears to be April from all the screenshots people keep dropping from various documents/websites/etc...
