Hi All,
I have a problem I could really use some help with. I have a MPC-XL and ProTools. I have successfully connected the MPC to the Mac by using the USB to carry audio signals and for midi sync.
By changing the ProTools playback engine to the MPC-XL and setting the MPC tracks to “USB Out 1-2” I am able to start the MPC from ProTools using MIDI clock and get an audio signals into a protools track.
My problem is, I am unable to hear what I am recording or playing back because the Playback engine is set to MPC XL. I find myself having to change the playback engine back to “Protools Native HD” and relaunch ProTools just to hear what I recorded. Is there a way to record the MPC usb audio into a ProTools AND ALSO HEAR IT AT THE SAME TIME?
I can’t seem to figure this out. I tried creating an Aggregate I/O, but I still can’t get it to work. Not sure if I have to change my ProTools I/O routing or what. Not sure what I am doing wrong. Would appreciate any help or advice anyone might have to offer. Thanks.
