Wish: continue loop in 16 levels

Another wish: when a loop is playing and 16 levels is activated, a way to let the sample continue while pressing the pads (so, a drum loop playing can use different filter values without restarting).

Should that be the default/only behavior? Not sure. And if not, I donno how it could be setup in the current way things work... but that would be great! With 16 pitches as well.

Internally, 16 Levels works by generating notes with different values for the currently selected Mod Type (velocity/filter/tune). In other words, it isn’t writing standalone automation for filter or pitch parameters. Because of that, changing filter values or pitch without retriggering the sample isn’t really possible.

So this is basically a limitation of how the MPC OS works, and the same behavior applies to the Sample as well.

I understand it's how it currently works. The wish is that instead, at least for Pitch and Filter, instead of retrigerring the sample, pressing a pad only changes thecorresponding values. For Velocity one could think of modulating the volume too actually...

I won't comment on how easy or not it is to implement of course, nor whether the good people at Akai would find it a good idea

… or, retrigger the loop as if it were chopped in 16 slices…
