so just adding keygroup u think is overkill? I dont think it would automatically change the MPC Sample into MPC One

No...Just as a Collective of Everyone's Request. That's all

The sample is great as it is, it doesn't need fx plugins, audio tracks or plugin instruments.

But keygroups... That's a must in a sampler!

If they put a battery in a One it would be the best selling mpc of all time. There’s a reason they don’t do it though because of the increased margins from overpriced lives. A battery powered one would put the LIVE3 out of business in my opinion

Got to play around with a Sample yesterday and made a few beats. I gotta say it’s super fun to use because of the limitations. Sure a few tweaks to the OS and workflow are needed but I don’t think it needs a bunch of extra features. Especially if the transfer to MPC3 is easy to finish beats

My homie doesn’t like it and offered it to me for my One+ that he knows I don’t use  But I’m still on 2.15 and don’t want go back to tracking out…

If you could spread your samples across several tracks that could be helpful maybe?
Like a total of 16 tracks, one on each MIDI channel, so that you can use the "empty" tracks to sequence external gear with MIDI (and record CC, Program Change, etc...).
Also maybe if you could save several songs within the same project - though you can already turn a song into a pattern.

Please add something to dim the lights of the MPC !!! Something like from 100% to 0% because working at night with the MPC Sample is killing my eyes big time! In addition it could be nice to have an individual option to dim for example only the lights of the pads/buttons but keeping the screen bright, or vis versa...

Audition volume. Any way to change? Ani missing something? Annoying scrolling sounds when they are louder than the seq

MPC-Tutor wrote:The more I use this, the more I feel they should add a battery to the MPC One. Battery on the Live 3 seems to make less sense, that thing is relatively big, heavy, and expensive, especially compared to the original Live. Battery MPC One for all those who want all the features combined with portability. MPC Sample kept simple as a sketch pad.

BTW, have to say, sustain looping on this thing is a joy, I assume it has some automatic crossfading built in as it's really easy to quickly set up a click-free loop.

 I mentioned that the Sample will lead to people wanting a gen2 MPC One with a battery about a week ago:

It's been discussed here several times. There are batteries that work with the one.

It's not ideal, but it works.

Yo everyone,
I’m coming from years of hands-on experience with pretty much every sampler out there, including a lot of classic Akai gear: S20, S900, S950, MPC2000XL, MPC One, and now this new little beast that’s really got my attention.
That said, looking at what other products in the same price range already offer, I honestly think it’s only a matter of time before the following features become must-haves and should really be added:

Ability to delete factory samples / factory preset kits
Individual pad / stem export
Proper insert channel management for the master compressor (sidechain-style behavior, à la Mother Ducker)
Keygroups
Easier microtiming control in step sequencing
More flexible FX chaining
Normalize sample

Just my 2 cents from long-time sampler use.

Any website, except this one of course :worthy: , where we can give needs/suggestions ?

Well it looks like at least Normalize and a few other "sample edits" are dropping in firmware 1.3... based on the loopop video... so there's that coming at least :D

plus a few knob control settings/changes so we don't just have "catch" style knobs.
