The 60, I’d say it maybe nostalgia that keep you holding onto it.
If you let go of it I don’t think you’d miss it’s capabilities, you’d miss having it.
XL can replace all of those machines and not break a sweat.
Just like Live 2, you can get the newer MPC’s sounding like the old so sound is not an issue.
Good thing is Live 2 already gives you a deep glimpse into XL so you’re already familiar with it (if you have v3 installed).
I’m holiding on to 3 machines because of nostalgia so I understand the struggle of letting it go. Had 4, I let one go, I don’t miss it AT ALL. The other 3 aren’t used anymore, they just sit there.
Hi... thanks so much for the info and explanation. You were very clear... the only thing that led me to write this post is because I read everywhere everyone saying that the converters of the old MPC 60 and the fact that it is 12-bit make its sound unique, as well as the SP 1200... I don't know how to create a chain in my MPC Live 2 that can emulate the old analog warmth.... Do you have any suggestions??? Are there videos I can watch??? Thanks so much
