Many on the MPC side are having issues with it & downgraded back to 3.7.0, so it may have just been a bad os. Ofc Akai won’t just be honest about it. Hopefully they fix it soon.

XL, v3.7.1, crashed on me this morning while hitting SAVE, after spending 1hr experimenting with features. This crash corrupted ALL of the project files. After it reboot itself the project folder was EMPTY and XPJ was no where in sight.

OMFG All. Your. Projects. Gone? WTF.
It’s not going to help but I always wait about a month before updating.

Any project I opened in v3.7.1 had problems and many just disappeared after a crash and recovery. Look back in the folders and it's empty. Luckily, I work from a copy of the original, so I lost "copies" instead of og projects and very little progress was lost.

I'm normally pretty forgiving of firmware glitches or limitations, but one that manages to completely mangle your project files does seem like an unforgivable screwup.

I'm safe in knowing I can roll back at any time I want. I'm also a decades long, fan of BACK-UPS!

I found out on elektronauts.com that you can download it from the inMusic Center software in the Hardware section. Your Force has to be registered. I got it but haven't had any time to test it out. The Akai site still only has 3.7.0. I was refreshing that page for days all for nothing!

Thanks & spread the word.

It really doesn’t. I saw it before but I don’t have a Force and didn’t pay much attention afterwards until I saw this thread so I went to look again to make sure I’m not crazy.
Still crazy.

With them it helps to think crazy & do things that's not logical. Now I'm click on everything on their site. So I guess that's my life lesson today.

I just went to their get in contact section & told their Ai chat about this error on their site& it was surprisingly very helpful. I'll keep an eye on it to see if they changed it, now that they acknowledged the problem.

Working fine for me every day, however I don’t use external audio interface or any CV/midi. I did download and save 3.7.0 in case .1 becomes a problem.
