Have any of you with SSH tried copying the older 32bit MPC executable to the modern 64bit mpc and executing it? I am interested to know if works and if so what kinda system overhead it has. I *would* buy a new mpc unit just for the bandwidth of the newer system..
Not sure the modern rom has the 32bit librarys included in the rom needed to run it But it's worth a try. If it doesnt work i may be able to help add the 32bit libs to the system to get it working. The word size of the proc is less important than the bandwidth. I doubt akai is utilizing the the extra 32bits for anything anyways.
