Hello and another happy Monday.

Been working, studying & trying different methods for hours how to RESET MY MPC Sample TO FACTORY and remove all the learning (mistakes) I have accidentally applied and messed up parts of.
REALLY HOPING, PRAYING Lol this can be done successfully.
Have done nothing but mess around *self learning since got it weeks ago and it is behaving strangely and I know it’s because of something(s) I pressed trying to teach myself (haha) something.
There is NOTHING I NEED SAVED so going Nuclear is fine as I don’t mind redownloading the updates.

Thank you in advance. :hmmm:

How to reset to factory settings
Step-by-step:
1. Press and hold SHIFT + PAD 8 (MIDI CONFIG)
→ Opens the MIDI Configuration menu
2. Use the ENCODER to scroll to:
“RESET FACTORY SETTINGS”
3. Press the ENCODER to select it
4. Press B3 (YES) to confirm
5. The unit will restart automatically

VERY IMPORTANT (2 different reset options)
Inside that same menu, you’ll see two reset types:

✅ 1. RESET FACTORY SETTINGS
Resets:
system settings
preferences
❌ Does NOT delete your samples/projects

⚠️ 2. RESET FACTORY DATA (more drastic)
Deletes:
all user samples
all projects
all internal content
Restores full factory content
❗ Cannot be undone

What “RESET FACTORY DATA” does
✅ It WILL:
Delete ALL your user data
your samples
your projects
any edits or custom content
Restore factory content
factory samples
factory demo projects
original folder structure
Even if you had previously deleted factory samples/projects, they are restored back to original state.

Simple way to think about it
Settings reset → safe, like “preferences reset”
Data reset → full wipe (like formatting your device)

Strong recommendation

Before doing RESET FACTORY DATA:
Backup via USB or SD card:
copy your Samples folder
copy your Projects

Hope this helps ...
