MPC Sample Main Volume Knob - All units like this?

Anyone else’s devices have a blank spot at the bottom of the master volume? No audio at all, then it just suddenly comes in after a tiny turn. Bit like Live 3 it reminds of that.
Makes bringing in loops during a set impossible. I’ve heard this is standard thing for these units is that true? Since 1.3 fixed the other 3 knobs, is a software recalibration possible for this knob, or are we just looking at a cheap physical part?

This is the same in all modern mpcs.

The kit volume and pad volume behave the same way. After -INF, the next step is -74 dB, but compared to a DAW, -74 dB still feels relatively loud.
