MPC desperately needs:

* ✅ **Background resampling** — keep recording while navigating
* ✅ **Smart BPM detection** — recode it to handle silence + transients better

Right now, losing the resample when leaving the sampler = major vibe killer during live flows.

Akai should let resample run until you stop it, not when you exit a screen. Would change everything for performance-based users like you.

The lack of copy/paste of text is a insane in 2025. We should have voice to text by now!
At least let us save custom text to pads to save time.

Don't Worry...Akai will implement AI in a lil bit. They'[l make it super easy to Make Beats. Then we'll say "Akai's AI is too slow. This is Insane!! I wanna Make a Beat with one Prompt"

Couple of things I would like to see - an instant way of assigning any pad sample to the keyboard (on Key models) there should be a "Keys" option in the 16-levels menu. Also a sound-off threshold for the sampler in addition to the sound-on setting. This would make it much easier to auto sample anything without having to set sample length or trim the sample afterwards. Another thing - why can't you set keyspans using the keyboard?

As a lot of people do not use the cross fader or associated buttons maybe a setting in preferences could assign a different use to incorporate some of the new features like main mode etc etc

Also
Each track should remember it’s settings so when changing tracks you don’t have to spend time setting the track up again, ie the same way push2 handles track settings, ie if I set a track up as a sequencer then another as note mode and another as note mode but a different scale, every time I switch tracks to edit them they are on the settings i last used per track and I don’t have to cycle through settings to get them back to the way they were, currently the mode you are on is set to all tracks which makes things slow and cumbersome to edit tracks on the fly

Also, let us load a sample to multiple & or all pads/layers.

I did request that months ago, maybe you all do the same again.
Mappings should also be saved in a track/programm and not in the project

On the Force the track macros are saved with the track file. Is that not the case on the MPC?
Also, yesterday I just discovered a new Save option called "MIDI Program," but there's not much details in the manual about what it is, but that could the be kinda what you're looking for?...I'll test it later.

I’d love an easy way to control parameters on a plugin on one track from a seperate MIDI track. It can already do this easily with notes - it can’t be that much harder to do it with CCs. This could be as simple as being able to manually set MIDI Learn Sources. For the time being, as far as I can tell, its easier to control synth parameter with extenal contollers than another intenal channel.

Also - I’d really love to have the same options for Clip Follow actions as we do for Row follow actions. Functionality could be that Row Follow Actions take precidence over Clip Follow Actions, or, even better, perhaps you could assign prioty to either as a setting.

except, famously, MPC chooses not to assign any of its plugin parameters actual MIDI CC values...
