Here's 2 Examples:
1) Your first Multi has Flange and Chorus being used as FX ( you're in 96khz mode so only
have 2 FX) but during your break down you want Reverb and a Multi Tap delay to be used.
You can set up a Multi to respond to Program changes, and then insert a Program Change
for that Multi to switch when it gets' to that part of the song, and then switch back
when it's out of the breakdown.
So basiclly , allows one to switch FX and/or FX settings
2) Q-Link or Q-Link sequence.
The data for Q-Link or Q-Link sequence is stored in the Multi. So if you have Q-Link
and Q-Link sequence setup to tweak the cutoffs' and resonance, and the Amp
Envelope then you've used all 6 Q-Link knobs (which of course are being sequenced!),
Let's say during the same break down above, that you want Q-Link sequence to tweak
the FX, rather then the Filter Cutoff/Resonance and Amp Envelope, during this break
down. As this info is stored in the Multi, when you do the Multi change described in 1),
then the Q-link/Q=link sequence automatically starts tweaking it's new settings and sequences.
