Swap pads feature?

Is there any way to swap pads within a program without copying them somewhere else and then deleting the destination and then pasting them again there? like is there just an option that swaps the placement of like pad A08 and pad A05?

Only in the mpc software, you can copy, move and swap pads by holding down shift, cmd or alt while you drag

Give track, row & clip swap as well. The RS7000 could do this & that thing was made in 2001. It's just a simple but very efficient workflow improvement.

We're talking swapping pad#1 with p5, with their pad settings.

Copy & paste is not the same & what happens if the drum track's 128 pads slots is filled? You have to used slow-ass workarounds. Pad swapping is instant. Even if the the program only has 2 samples on pad#1 & 2, you'll still have to copy p1 to p3, then p2 to p1, then p3 to p2, then delete p3 or leave it.

The grid editor doesn't move the pad settings & even if it did, it not as efficient as just having an swapping option as a pop-up menu or button-combo shortcut..

Finally, the option to move the seq pad data with the pad swap is a must for this to really be worth it. If not you'll have move the swapped pad(s) data in the seq afterwards. The RS7000 gives you this option & its very handy.

swap pads was one of the first things I looked for. incredible that it's not possible. copy and paste is such a turn down...

It's major let down! Especially now that their so many more parameters settings per pad. This is a feature I requested years ago. It's good to see a thread for it giving it more attention.

I really just thought it was a setting I was missing somewhere.. This is a bummer. Glad to hear other people's frustrations so I know I'm not alone. Guess everything has its setbacks. Thanks for all the replies
