MPC one+ external wlan stick

hej, would an external wlan-stick improve the speed of datatransmission with a rooted device?
i have ~3,4 MB/s here.
and would the external stick have to be configured manually?

A usb wifi interface wont get you any more throughput. It should work if you plug in a usb network device in. Not sure the network config for that interface will be visible in the menu though.

Stupid question from me: is the network used for anything other than downloading firmware updates and plugins, and Ableton Link?

Link uses barely anything and works fine, and I always assumed the slow downloads of big plug-ins were because of their end not ours.

But if there’s a way to transfer files between MPCs or MPC to computer I’d like to know.

gen1 mpc can be updated with modified firmware, where ssh is enabled.

I've connected a MPC One via USB tethering of my mobile so I'd say that any USB Wifi device will work.
