Is there a tape saturation in the included factory FX I missed?

Flavor Pro and fly tape 2 both have emulated tape saturation fx. Interested to know what they are doing behind the scenes, remember SP1200 ring was just the decimator, so I'm never particularly confident that are are doing much more than just applying a bit of distortion, compression and EQ on these things. Same goes for all the 'vintage' emulations.

Finally Akai has seen the light. What VST/AU makers have know for years is that users buy plugins because of a shiny UI.

Other than that I agree that what we get could easily be done in upgrades of existing plugins.

Making Tape Echo is IMHO quite daring. There are loads of emulations out there and I guess enough real models to tell if Air gets close to the original.

I hope someone tries to analyse if the new tape saturation sounds any different than the current ones.
