Samples fading out

Hi Folks,
Just got mt MPC Sample about 5 days ago and have been working at getting it work. Right now I have 2 major questions:
1. How do I keep a sample playing until I release the pad
2. Why do my samples, which play fine outside of the MPC Sample, start fading of the volume? These are 8 bar samples.

I have seen a few videos on "resampling" but my question is why? The .wav is playing exactly what I want but when I load it to a pad the volume starts decreasing. I don't have issues with the demo samples loading, just the ones I created.

I feel like #2 could be the amp envelope ramping down.
Set the envelope to not ramp down.

With your sample showing in the window, in sample mode…
Notice B1 button up top left, tap it twice for AMP ENV.
Push the data wheel once and the cursor will go to DECAY.
Rotate the data wheel and notice the green decay line at the end moving back and forth.
Rotate it fully left to “0” (no fade out), maybe this is the problem).

Hold SHIFT, notice DECAY now changes to DECAY FROM, while holding SHIFT rotate the data wheel, notice you can choose to decay from start or end of the sample.

Maybe this will help.

With your sample showing in the window, in sample mode…
Hold SHIFT and press the blue CHOP button, see underneath the CHOP button it says NOTE ON? This will affect the currently selected sample. In the sample window you will notice the white note block light up. This means NOTE ON is engaged for that note/sample. Try this on a long loop.

SHIFT is for engaging/enabling the text underneath the buttons/pads.
