Live 3 Retro dropped

Damn. That’s kinda ugly lol. It doesn’t look retro at all. How do you make the Sample look so good and then turn around and put this out?

Anyways good for Akai to manipulate people into buying the same product over and over. Get that money!

Price point to add the old school buttons with leds in sure would have increased the price abd made the complainer mad..

When I saw the live 3 in person it looks dam good now in Grey looks good buttons are buttons

Aside from a crackly pot and occasional freezes on my Force i dont think I’ve complained here. In fact I’m a defender of Akai I think they’re one of the better companies by a long shot.

Interesting you choose not to respond to my points about colors and aesthetics, but instead went straight to implying I'm gay. I probably ought to let my wife and kids know, maybe I’ll rattle can my MPC pink.

I picked the most obvious thing most people wouldn’t want on their device to disprove your “buttons are buttons” statement where you pretended looks don’t matter to you. I never implied either way you keep saying the word .. I have nothing against it.. you keep saying the work "gay" your comment is not what a man would say men don't use them woman do or maybe your right way men do so that being said if you want to come out on the oldest MPC forum I guess we accept you

On to the retro thing - not quite sure of the money grab thing? I mean, cars, shirts, TVs, etc - they all come out in different colorways and I'm not quite sure that's seen as a money grab?

I think they are referring to the way they slowly drip feed the different colours rather than offering them all together at the beginning like you normally would with a car or phone.

That’s the perception, however car models almost always have a special edition or new color or new feature towards the end of the life cycle. Especially performance cars. At least in USA. I know, have a few times waited for the last year of a run to buy. Not to mention improvements in a specific generation of models over the years. iPhone took forever to start offering colors which were in high demand. I’ll stop there.

I don't think it a money grab either, the red MPCs wasn't liked by everyone, so Akai is giving people what they want - kinda.

The g2 37/One are getting a power boost but not new MPCe pads as a way to keep the price down. That means the G2 61 should have the luxury features & hopefully a tilt screen. Hopefully it'll have more qlinks & buttons. Or maybe they're planning on a new MPCe pad controller to g1 & 2 MPCs without it.
