sry for not attaching the image. its called
"MPC4000 USB ASCII Keyboard Commands" from Akai's site.
somebody kindly posted it here, cheers.

i use a Z4 btw. My Qwerty is an old Apple half-size one.

The Akai doc suggests that WHEEL LEFT / WHEEL RIGHT is triggered by the + / - keys.
This has never worked for me & i'd love to figure it out, because as others probably know, the scroll wheel on a Z4 can be a a bit weird/imprecise.

Ive tried +/- keys with usual combos [shift, cmd, cntrl, option, fn, </> keys too]. Also a but no luck. Z4 scroll wheel won't respond.

Is it my half-size Qwerty the issue ?

(And if there ARE any differences between the 4K key commands and the Z4/Z8...that someone has discovered..however unlikely it is...i'd be rlly grateful)

Your halfsize-Querty is the issue because it lacks a numeric keypad.
The wheel only reacts to the specific keycodes of that pad.
I just tried it on a MPC4k with a regular PC keyboard and an Apple keyboard, both functional on the numeric keypad (so not an Apple feature) and both +/- from the regular key section were ignored.
A cheapo numeric keypad might be an option...
