Hi. A short search did not bring up anything about this error I experience with my MPC KEY 37 (red).

After Installing four NI plugins some time ago, I got double entries for them on my plugin screen when I press the sounds button to select a plugin and a patch for it.
Deactivating the license and reactivating didn't solve the problem. I can't uninstall them.
It's pretty annoying, because they are also as double entires in the drop down list.

Can I do a complete firmware reset to Version 2.05 and reinstall everything from scratch?
Most of my stuff is on an external HD.

My MPC KEY 61 does not have this fault. Everything works fine on it. Only the keybed has one note f#5 that's louder than others. I guess I was lucky.

Any help would be appreciated.

qubiq type plugins will double up if you have their assets in two places, for example if you have two 'Synths' directories (one on sd card and one let's say on internal ssd) and both of them contain skins or .big files for the same plugin it will double it up in the menu.

EDIT:
your post reminded me that I've meant to check ages ago if that bug is doubling up on plugin limits as well

Everything is on my internal memory. Only Expansions are on an external HD via USB.
I can't directly access the internal drive to move or remove anything. Everything is under control of the OS it seems. Looks like I have to ask AKAI Support ..

Remove offending ones from the external drive, they will be in the 'Synths' directory, also check where does your content download path points to (it's in the activations tab)

EDIT:
you can also remove them from internal memory if they landed there somehow:
in Activations, change your path from external to 'user', rename your external 'Synths' directory to for examp[le Synths.bak so MPC will ignore it during boot, now reboot MPC, head to activations tab and uninstall offending plugins. This should uninstall them from internal memory if they exist there. Last step is to bring everything back to normal: rename external Synths.bak to synths, change download path in Activations back to your external drive and you're done.

@dustyslices is compltely right. I asked AKAI support and they explained the method in detail to me with multiple screenshots. The hint I was missing is that holding the SHIFT button in the files browser brings up the "delete files" button. Now I was able to delete the whole folder of each offending plugin in the HOME file system. After rebooting, reactivation and redownloding to the external HD everything works perfectly. Only the new Intimate Strings plugin has problems downloading despite having plenty of space on the external drive.
Thx for the help!
