Have to say, I rarely agree with the whole loyalty argument like this, you bought the hardware 8 years ago and got 8 years of support and countless free updates none of which were ever promised on the day you bought that machine, completely transforming your original MPC Live/X etc. They've given you plenty over the years without forcing you to buy new hardware. New synths, new FX, new features, all for free.

Just seems ridiculous to me that you think they owe you something in this arrangement. I'm sure they appreciate your purchase 8 years ago, which is why they gave you so many amazing free updates, right?

i think a fair price for the pro pack is what would be cool.
199 is rediculous.
10k peops buying the cliplauncher for 40-50 bucks is better than 5 peops buying the propack for fantasy-numbers.

Akai's pricing is mostly ridiculous with synths coming in at RRP $150 but available for 80% of the year at around $20-34, so I think everyone assumed the pro pack would follow the same pattern (i.e. Akai trained them to think this way).

Pro pack is currently showing as '50% off' on the MPC One G2 page, but it's still $199 on the purchase page, which might mean you get a code with your One purchase, but more likely akai forgot to put the price down to $99.

Worth remembering that this is not just the clip matrix, you get reverb pro, visual EQ, advanced Qlinks etc, so it's unlikely they are going to bundle 2 premium plugins and clip matrix for $40, well, not currently, would assume pro pack will be $20 eventually. Noticed MPC Software was being sold for $20 on B&H the other day.

Don't forget your SAVE10 promo code :)

The only people who should be getting a discount for the Pro-Pack are Force users. Akai has been supporting the g1 MPCs for almost a decade, everything can't be free but they should break up the pack. Clips should be separate & even each of the FX. It not coming to the g2 One/37 helps to keep the price down, especially if you own it already.

when i bought a mpc one, a month later the mpc firmware 3.0 was introduced as beta and later it was the core firmware for the following product portfolio and upgraded mpc live 2. so just a bad timing thing? meh
i think especially clip launching, the "enhanced" qlink and cv control possibiliets are core features of the mpc 3.0 firmware and should be free.

i like different oppinions and thoughts, so lets collect them and tweak the petition. in the end its worth generating some collective energy and see if it maybe lead to a compromise and/or a different behaviour of akai in the future.

The most you should ask for is a discount & or to break up the pack, but completely free for those feature is wild.

I disagree with you Tutor anyone who bought a MPC 8 years ago should get 50% off for loyalty of not spending anything in 8 years and expecting freebies :-D :-D :-D

I own the X and bought the XL and will buy key 61 when released. I own the pro pack i bought for the X for $99 on day one.

Anyone think a company are going to consider 8 years ago purchase loyalty then I guess i should have gotten the XL 50% off since I bought the 3000 in 1995..

Stop it with your petition and pay the money. Put money back to a company that is still supporting your 8 year old mpc.. because we had 1 update for each mpc back in the day.. this entitlement is a joke :-D

The new 3.9 they just dropped is an amazing upgrade for free. Over the years I feel they've hooked us up quite a bit and the OS just keeps getting better. I never paid for the pro pack as it came with my MPC XL which then allowed my MPC One to also be upgraded. I do agree that splitting the pro pack up is the fair thing to do. It's definitely worth $100, but $200 is steep.
